Planetexim.net collects, collates and standardizes more then 15 lakhs (1.5 Million) Shipping Bills every month from Indian seaports, airports, Internal container depots (ICD) and Land Custom Stations (LCS).
The data is collected, cleaned and converted in RDBMS Format ( Relation Data Base Management System) and stored in MS-access and MY SQL Server Database : India Export Shipment Data.
Indian Export Trade Data covers Indian foreign trade with over 173 countries around the world and represents transactions of over 7,63,000 Indian Exporters Importers.
With Online data since Year 2000, Indian Export Trade Data provides organizations complete access to current and historical trade data.
The number of Records collected from Indian Customs, Ports based on Shipping Bills and Invoices have now crossed over 8 Crores (100 Millions).
Archive data from 1976 onwards as well as bulk current data is also available on paper, CDs from International Data Services.

What Value Addition Planetexim.net makes ?
Addition of Address, Email, Website, Telephone Numbers, Owners and directors of Indian Companies.
Earlier the data contained Indian Companies Names but not complete address or contact information. Indian Govt has stopped release of Names in India Trade data since 2004. However sometimes ports to release data with names.
Planetexim.net with the help of Indian Company profiles databases maintained by it, adds other important details like Address, Email, Website, Telephone Numbers, Owners and directors of Indian Companies wherever possible on best effort basis.
Planetexim.net is also fighting a legal battle and lobbying with members of trade to secure release of Information under RTI Act as release of Names is very important for transparency and growth of Indian Foreign Trade.
Addition of Indian Harmonized Code Descriptions
Planetexim.net maintains a daily updated Indian Harmonized Code Database, with the help of this data Planetexim.net Team adds the “Standard HS Description”.
In Indian Export Data the “Actual product description” and HS Code often varies and classification is often wrong, due to poor control at the time of submission of documents by Indian Exporters Importers and hence Planetexim.net adds the Indian Harmonized Code Descriptions to highlight the anomalies.

Addition of Schemes like FPS, FMS,VKUY, Indian Duty Drawback Rates , HS Codes live Links.

Addition of Value in US Dollars, Euro and 12 official currencies
India Export data contains value in Indian Rupees and it is difficult to calculate the prices as the exchange rates prescribed by Indian Customs are different from market exchange rates.
To resolve this problem, Planetexim.net converts the value in US Dollars, Euro and official 12 currencies as prescribed during the date of transaction by Indian Customs.

The data is uploaded on a daily basis to provide customers data on near “real-time“ on best effort basis as there are still problems in getting timely data updates from Indian Govt authorities.
Planetexim.net still manages to provide data with a time lag of 3 days to 20 days at the end of each month, compared to other sources like DGCIS and Ministry of Commerce which still take around 3 months to 6 months.

Planetexim.net does not tamper with the data. Data is 100% authentic and “as released” by Indian Govt.
Accuracy
Export Data has been noted to show sometimes problems in valuations and Planetexim.net does takes up such issues with Govt Authorities.

We do find that Data is not 100% complete. In Imports the coverage is better, around 92% to 96%, probably as Indian Govt gets Customs Duty from Imports. We find data do not contain Import of diamonds for reexport. The percentage of lost data varies time to time. It also depends from Port to Port. At times data is released by government after a gap of period. We make sure to add that information
